Body Hemphill Hornets of the most adorable variety donned cap and gown for Kindergarten Commencemet last week. The morning was spent in song and ceremony and left everyone in attendance and watching online wishing that these darlings could stay small for quite a while longer.

Body Update: HISD School Board held a special session Tuesday evening to confirm and announce that Stephen English is the district's new superintendent. He and his wife Carrie were introduced; she will be applying for a math position with the district.

Body The SFA Ag Department recently hosted over 800 FFA members and guests on campus for the Area IX FFA Convention. SFA Agricultural Department recognizes the value of the lessons learned through FFA participation and know that FFA members make great Lumberjacks!

Wildcats go wild...

Body For Brookeland Wildcat baseball, marked the second year in a row to make post season play. The reason? Teamwork, solid coaching, and talent. Recognized for their abilities and contribution, eight Wildcats made the 24-2A All-District team.

Eagles end Hornets season swiflty

Body Friday night, the Hemphill Hornets travelled to Woodville for the first game of a best-of-3 series in the first round of the 3A Region III baseball playoffs. The Hornets, 4th place finishers in District 21, were matched with the 1st place , District 22 Woodville Eagles.
