Friday afternoon, surrounded by family and dozens of her closest friends, Emmalee Melancon signed on to make the transition from West Sabine Tiger to Cisco Junior College Wrangler.
It may not have been pretty, but the 54-28 drubbing of the Burkeville Mustangs gave several Tigers a chance to work on their rebounding and passing skills. On both ends of the floor, the air was filled with basketballs as both teams did everything but score.

Brookeland Sophomore Addison Murphy ran to a 34th place finish out of 150 participants in Fridays 1A Cross Country State Finals in Round Rock. This was the second year Addison qualified for the State final.

The West Sabine Tigers faced yet another formidable foe October 28 as they faced the Joaquin Rams, a team that had pushed number one Timpson to its absolute limit the week before. The Ram game plan was simple yet smashingly effective, employing a bruising ground game using several different backs.
