Deas Fuller owned one of the best feed stores in Texas way back in the day. It still stands today right here in Hemphill and it's still a part of our history, our culture. The store stands like weathered time, washed in sunlight and drenched with East Texas rains.

Werner Burwood has set up an account. at Southside Bank under the name of Sabine County Alamo Letter Society for people to make donations to help with the cost of the monument plaque “Letter to The Alamo” which will be placed on the courthouse lawn.
