Lilly Rayne Godeaux
Lilly Rayne Godeaux, the beautiful and beloved daughter of Bryan Godeaux and Sara Michelle Wilson Childress, passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 9, 2023 in Nacogdoches, at the age of 13. She came into this world on July 7, 2009 in Leesville, LA. She spent all of her life in the Sabine County area where she was an active student at West Sabine ISD. Among her school accomplishments, she was a member of the student council, on the A & B Honor Roll and participated in UIL. She also ran track and cross country and was a drummer in the WSHS Band.
She was a bright light, full of love and laughter. Her smile could light up a room and bring you an overwhelming sense of happiness. She loved her family and was the most amazing big sister to her siblings. Prestin was her adventure buddy, always coming up with plans and goofy ideas together . Layla was her first baby doll, she could talk her into anything, and they were sneaky and funny together . Lulu is her Twinkie. In every way, she's Lilly made over, just with blonde hair. From her mischievous giggle to her beautiful smile, Luna was her mini me. Liam Nick, her boy, her son as she called him, she always swore she'd take him to college with her. He was her baby. She loved her siblings more than they could ever imagine. She loved her big cousins, Tara and Kailey. They were her first best friends and meant the world to her. Her new love was her pet-baby, a Leopard Gecko named, TAD that she adored. She loved music! Rather, it was making a beat on the kitchen table or singing at the top of her lungs, she always had music on her mind and in her heart. She loved her friends. She loved just being with them, making memories together, laughing, and just being their goofy selves. She was a daredevil. No roller coaster was ever too much her. She was going to conquer it and then tell you how it wasn't even that bad. She loved the water. Rather, it was the beach or the lake, she loved to swim, jump the waves, ride the tube behind the boat, and kayak around to random islands. She loved the outdoors and nature. During the spring, she would pick wildflowers and make bouquets for everyone. She loved to go hiking and exploring to see what type of mushrooms she could uncover or if she could find a really cool bug to bring home. She was her daddy's baby girl and her momma's world and we will continue to carry her bright light with us always.
