Latricia Pricilla Hair
Latricia Pricilla (Mott) Hair was born March 14, 1960 in Hemphill, to Cecil Mott and Patricia (Martin) Mott. She passed away on June 4, 2026 at her home in Garland, after a prolonged battle with cancer. She was a native of Sabine County and grew up in Pineland, where she was known as “Prissy”. She was a 1978 graduate of West Sabine High School. After relocating to the Dallas area in the late 80s, she held several jobs in a wide variety of industries. For the last several years she was employed by the Richardson Independent School District where she was a Teacher’s Aide for children with special needs. These special needs included everything from emotional, mental, physical and sometimes severe disabilities. Pricilla loved her job providing care and support to these kids and she loved them as her own.
She enjoyed writing poetry and connecting with friends near and far through online communities. She loved nature, caring for animals, and immersing herself in British detective mysteries, whether in books or on screen. Her home was filled with an extensive collection of both current and antique books. But most of all, she cherished being a mom to her two daughters; her “Beautiful Dreamers” as she called them.
She is survived by her devoted daughters Emily Hair of Garland, Carina Hair (Matt Parker) & granddaughter Penelope Parker of Josephine, brothers Cecil Paul Mott (Raynette) of Milam, and Joe Mott (Marilee) of Emory.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Jordan Paul Mott.
Pricilla’s legacy of love, perseverance, and a free spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was cremated according to her wishes, and her family will gather to honor her life with a memorial service at a later date.
