Sharon Lynn Brown
Sharon Lynn Brown, 79, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2026, at her home in Huntington, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on January 1, 1947, in Grants Pass, Oregon to her parents of Bernard John Lambert and Lenore Irene Burke, Sharon lived a life centered on love, laughter, and family. She shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Judge Dalphus Brown, who preceded her in death. Sharon was a devoted wife, a loving mother of three, and the heart of her family. She had a heart of gold and was known for her funny, spirited personality. Whether she was cracking jokes, telling stories, or making those around her laugh, she had a remarkable gift for bringing joy to others. She was a safe place for so many, a source of comfort, wisdom, and unconditional love.
She had a deep love for all animals and enjoyed painting, crafting, and expressing her creativity. She was also a lifelong Elvis Presley fan, an obsession that everyone who knew her recognized and smiled about. Her love for Elvis was simply part of who she was. Sharon was one of a kind and never missed an opportunity to make people laugh. She proudly referred to herself as “the number one,” and if you knew Granny at all, you knew exactly what she meant. It was just one of the many sayings and jokes that became part of who she was and will forever bring smiles to those who loved her.
Above all else, Sharon treasured every moment spent with her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than having her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren together. Her family was her greatest joy and the center of her world.
She is survived by her children: Juanita Hardy and her partner, Stuart Samford; Curtis Brown and his wife, Elaine; and Teresa White and her husband, Rex. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Salena Williamson; Kristie Hardy and her wife, Dallas; Emily Stanbery and her husband, Jake; Melissa Brazile and her husband, Michael; Sabrina Warner and her husband, Logan; Blake Brown; Kaleb Reyes; PJ Reyes; Joe Reyes; and Gabrielle Reyes. Her legacy continues through her many beloved great-grandchildren: Baylee, Landen, Jaeda, Breylan, Nolan, Easton, Rylee, Aubree, Beau, Swade, Emrie, Wyatt, Willow, Ezekial and Cove. Sharon is also survived by her sister, Linda Davis, and her husband, Ken.
