Convicted Murderer now in Huntsville

When Matthew Edgar left the courtroom last Tuesday after formal sentencing, he was immediately taken to Huntsville for intake processing at the Byrd Unit of the Texas Department of Corrections. His information was added to the website for Texas Inmate Search on January 5th. 
Now officially Texas Inmate #02426376, Matthew Edgar has entered the Byrd Unit in Huntsville

Mother of Livye Lewis reacts to news of fugitive's arrest

After we were contacted by Sabine County Sheriff’s office last night concerning the arrest of fugitive Matthew Edgar, we immediately began to reach out to Ms. Darci Bass, the mother of victim, Livye Heathyr Lewis. Bass had recently updated her cell phone number and our contact info was out of date.
