Sabine County Chamber of Commerce met Tues. May 10th and there was lots to talk about.

Following the prayer and pledge, everyone enjoyed a fine meal provided by Lost Frontier.

VFW reported that they made $4,400 on the Spring Fling. Congratulations! They also reported that they are looking into starting to have monthly dances at the VFW Hall. They are working out the logistics now.

Suzzie Gilliam discussed all the final preparations going on, and remaining needs for volunteers concerning the upcoming kid fish and poker run at The Byrd’s Nest RV park.

Dick Polk, Director for Fishers of Men – Texas East Division bass fishing tournament trail, spoke of the organizations mission, and new changes that will greatly impact Sabine County and surrounding area. Their new season will start in February and will alternate between Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn.

Next up, Chase Collins of Lost Frontier RV Park introduces the new owners, Stephen and Steve Brewer of Ella Lee Holdings, LLC. As anyone can tell you, Collins has made many fine improvements to the park since he took over. The Brewers’ visited, and fell in love with the park and Chase’s vision and concept of making improvements that retains the natural beauty and landscape of the area. They have asked him to “stick around” so they may work in tandem, preserving that same harmony when adding their own improvements, such as playgrounds for the kids, additional cabins and enlarging the boat ramp.

Next month’s business of the month is 360 Photography by JW Designs.
