"Dear Readers: In my 29 years as Ann Landers this is the most difficult column I have ever tried to put together."

How does a nationally syndicated advice columnist not only come to terms with, but inform her millions of followers, of her impending divorce? In the one woman presentation of "Lady With All The Answers" Shreveport actress Marcia Cassanova presented insights to this and other personal problems Ann Landers dealt while helping her readers deal with theirs.

"Dear Ann Landers,

I am a devout Christian with several gold crowns on my teeth. When I am dead, I would like to will the gold to my sister, who could really use the money. But do you know if after the Resurrection it will be possible for me to have new crowns put in?"

Her answer..."I do not. And trust me, if his dentist is Jewish, he's not taking appointments for after the Resurrection."

Did you know her real name was Esther Pauline Lederer? Did you know she was the second Ann Landers? Did you know her twin sister was Dear Abby? Did you know they had a long term feud, they didn't speak for years? As if this weren't enough to deal with, Landers was forced to face the fact that her marriage of 36 years was ending, and was ending because of another woman. What advice would a trusted advice columnist give to herself?

Cassanova brought Landers to life inside Hemphill’s Actors Studio, and she made the audience believe that they were sharing the tragedy with her. Without a supporting cast, Cassanova displayed a range of emotions from laughter to tears, from doubt to certainty, as she gave insights into how Landers reached conclusions on subjects not discussed in the open at that time; subjects like suicide, homosexuality, pornography, contraception...and divorce.

She was entertaining, and believable. Cassanova brough Ann Landers to life for us in Hemphill. Hopefully she will come back.
