National EMS Week is May 14 through May 21. This year makes the 47th year. In 1974, President Gerald Ford authorized EMS Week to celebrate EMS practitioners and the important work they do in our nation's communities. Thank you, Sabine County and San Augustine County for all the sleepless nights being on call and showing up to help our resident’s during the scariest times of their lives.
