The National Forests and Grasslands in Texas has reopened Red Hill Lake, with operating season from May 1 thru Oct. 31. Red Hill Lake is located just a short distance from Toledo Bend Reservoir. Completed in 1940 by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), this area offers fishing, camping, and swimming on a picturesque 19-acre lake.

Area amenities include tent camping, trailer camping, picnic tables, toilets, and drinking water.

Fees are $6 per night for tent camping site, $10 per night for camping site with electric hookups (one vehicle per campsite). Day use fee is $3 per vehicle, per day.

Red Hill Lake is located 10 miles north (2.5 miles north from Milam) on Hwy 87.
