William Earl Garrett, age 71, of Houston, departed this physical life on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his residence in Houston.

He was born April 23, 1951. His survivors include two stepchildren, Sly (Teresa) Winston of Houston,and Tisha Winston-Sample of Houston; three brothers, Melvin Garrett, Jr. of Houston, Ronald Haley Garrett of Houston, W. C. “Butch” Garrett of Hemphill; six sisters, Wanda (Carl) Joseph of Baton Rouge, Carolyn Ann Garrett of Houston, Barbara (James) Hoyle, Hemphill, Dorothy Gail Garrett of Longview, Sandra Henderson of Katy, Shelia (Tony) Walker of Austin; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, Step-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Oct. 8, at Macedonia Baptist Church, Hemphill, with Rev. Joe Gilbert, Officiating.
