Editor’s Note: Tomlinson has authorized the Sabine County Reporter to announce his candidacy for Justice of the Peace Precinct. As a participant in the newspaper’s Political Calendar, following is a statement issued by Tomlinson.

Hello to the Residents of Hemphill and Sabine County. I would like to introduce myself as Randy Tomlinson, and it is my honor to seek the position of Justice of the Peace in Precinct 1 of Sabine County.

Although I have only been a resident of Hemphill for a short 10 years my roots in this community began to grow in 1988 when my parents Ray and Fayrene Tomlinson decide to make Hemphill their home.

I have been married 44 years to Kathy Tomlinson, and we have two grown children and 6 beautiful Grandkids and one Great Grandson.

I retired from Dow Chemical in 2015 with 34 years of service Leading Piping Projects throughout the US and overseas in Saudi Arabia.

They say experience is the best teacher, and through the years I have learned how to plan and execute those plans by listening to others with different backgrounds and cultures and showing respect for their ideas as well as my own.

I have spent a lot of time thinking, praying, and talking with others whom I respect before even considering asking for your support in the position of JP Precinct 1 in Sabine County. I do not take the request, or the position lightly, and I will stand by the platform that I am running on.

•To administer Justice Fairly and without Bias

•To serve the community and its citizens with integrity

•Ensure justice is accessible to all members of the community •Provide wise and impartial decisions

•Work towards maintaining Law and order at a local level while showing compassion and understanding.

I would appreciate your support to serve the people of Sabine County.
