Body

My name is Sharon Ray and I served Hemphill ISD as an Administrative Assistant for the past four years. I have been a resident of Sabine County for over ten years. My son, Jed, was in the fourth grade when we moved here and he is a 2020 HHS graduate. My daughter Sailor is finishing up her sophomore  year. My husband Ron is local contractor and we are members of The Refuge Church of Milam. It is my desire to see our school district flourish and our students needs be placed as highest priority. Every kid deserves a voice and to be treated fairly and equally. We have a great community that stands behind our students and faculty, and I pledge to represent them and fight for their best interests. I’ve worked closely with students and staff within the walls and now am prepared to stand up for our highly qualified educators, support staff and students. Together we can ensure that Hemphill remains at the forefront of education and a safe, encouraging environment to grow great graduates and recognized teachers. Early voting is underway and I am humbly asking for your vote for HISD Board Trustee, Position 5. Thank you and together, let’s make a difference!      -  Sharon Ray
