Body

Sabine County Commissioners Court held a regular meeting Monday, May 9th, and after opening prayer and pledge of allegiance, accepted the minutes from the last “special” meeting. There were no Line Item Transfers or necessary Budget Amendments to be discussed.

Action was postponed on Radio Communication System work by Mr. Daffron, President of Firefighters Association. Seems there are some issues with the communications system and they are waiting on bids for various items to fix the problem.

Commissioner of Pct.4 James Lowe was appointed to sit on the Personnel Policy Committee.

Discussion was had, and Resolution accepted, for financial management and procurement regarding Procurement Policy. Exact verbiage is to be added to the Procurement Policy so as to encompass and ensure Federal guidelines.

Discussion during the public comments was had concerning the new GOGOV App, that will greatly enhance the previously used Emergency Notification system, will be rolled out very shortly. A more detailed explanation of the App will be posted, via flyers, and will be posted in the Sabine County Reporter.

The Court then went into Executive Session, then agreed to enter into agreement between SRA and County, to approach Forestry Service concerning SRA’s “world class” tournament site to be built. Exact location and details should be made public very soon.
