Body

My name is Tammie Cox and I have served as a Hemphill ISD Board Member for a year and a half, appointed upon the vacancy left by Andrea Jordan. My husband, Brent and I are lifelong residents of Sabine County and graduates of Hemphill High School. We are members of Camp Springs Baptist Church and are active community members. Brent also serves as your Precint 1 Commissioner for Sabine County. Both of our sons are graduates of Hemphill ISD. Education is a fundamental cornerstone for our town and it has been an honor to serve Hemphill ISD. I am asking for the opportunity to continue to do that. My goal is to make sure our students are getting the best education possible.  Every student is different and we need to make sure we are meeting as many needs as we can. Many students have graduated from Hemphill ISD and are enjoying great success in life. I will continue to work for the students to keep them successful with high standards to compete in trade, college and the work force. In addition, our school employs excellent educators. I will continue to work for the retention of our highly-qualified staff. I’m respectfully asking for your vote for Trustee, Position 5. Thank You, Tammie Cox
