Fundraiser

Pineland Fire Department Highway Hold Up and Sausage Wrap sale Saturday May 28 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pineland Square. Purchase a sausage wrap, chips and a drink for $7 or drop off donation.

Hemphill VFW

Hemphill VFW will hold a Memorial Day program May 30 at 10 a.m. The community is invited to attend to honor our heroes. Coffee and cookies will be served afterwards.

Reading program

Arthur Temple Mem Library reading program sign up is now through May 27. Must be K through fifth grade for school year 2022-2023. Program dates are June 13, 15 and June 17 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Three days of fun, from reading book contest, petting zoo, farm, etc.

Tatom Family Reunion

Tatom Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 12 at the East Sabine Senior Center. Doors open at 9 a.m. til.

VBS

Rosevine Missionary Baptist Church will host their VBS June 13 through June 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. This year’s program is Kookaburra Coast (awesome adventures in God’s glory) for grades Pre-K through eighth. The church is located at 655 Rosevine Rd. (FM 1 north) in Bronson.

Child care

Assistance for workers in the following industries can receive free child care for a year: arts, entertainment, recreation, accommodation, food services and retail trade. Texas Workforce Commission implemented the child care program to help low-wage workers in specified service industries. You can apply at detwork.org.
