City Council

Due to scheduling conflicts, Pineland's monthly city council meeting has been changed to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19. The meeting is open for the public's attendance and will be held at City Hall, 101 Dogwood Street.

Democrat Meeting

The Sabine County Democrats will have a regular monthly meeting Thursday, May 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Community Room at the Pineland Housing Authority at 317 Dogwood Street in Pineland.

Centerview Cemetery

Centerview Cemetery clean-up and workday Saturday, May 21, at 10 a.m. For more information contact Stanley Jacks at 936-645-8495.

Dutch oven

The Toledo Bend Chapter of the Lone Star Dutch Oven Society will be cooking Saturday, May 21, at Boles Field outside of Shelbyville. They start cooking about 9 a.m. and have pots on the table at noon. Bring your lawn chairs and join in. Call James at 409-625-4787 for more information.

Fundraiser

Pineland Fire Department Highway Hold Up and Sausage Wrap sale Saturday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Pineland Square. Purchase a sausage wrap, chips and a drink for $7 or drop off donation.

Hemphill VFW

Hemphill VFW will hold a Memorial Day program May 30 at 10 a.m. The community is invited to attend to honor our heroes. Coffee and cookies will be served afterwards.

Reading program

Arthur Temple Mem Library reading program sign up is now through May 27. Must be K through fifth grade for school year 2022-2023. Program dates are June 13, 15 and June 17 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Three days of fun, from reading book contest, petting zoo, farm, etc.

Tatom Reunion

Tatom Family Reunion will be held Sunday, June 12, at the East Sabine Senior Center. Doors open at 9 a.m. until ?
